Memorial Cabin Project
Pine Grove Programs is in the process of fundraising to build a cabin in memory of Joseph Murphy, a young soldier who tragically took his own life
after returning from deployment. This cabin will be a reminder to all who use it that anyone can become a victim to suicide, and to learn the signs and ways to possibly prevent it. Unfortunately, sometimes there are no signs. Joe Murphy loved the Maine outdoors, fishing, hunting, and was beginning a video production company to encourage kids to learn about outdoor sports. The “Murphy Cabin” will be free for veterans and first responders to use with their family, so they may have a respite from the stress they are enduring.
